Goals: Improve teachers’ self-efficacy and teaching skills; increase students’ positive attitudes and beliefs about sexual health and safer sex

Equity Goal: Increase access to science-based professional development

  • I collaborated with advisors and interviewed health educators to identify their needs, knowledge gaps, and learning objectives. This helped me understand the real challenges they face and establish clear goals for the training.

  • I created mockups in Figma to visualize the training structure and user interface. I mapped learning paths and designed interactive elements that would work effectively in an asynchronous environment. I incorprated game-based learning elements and adult learning theory.

  • I built interactive components using Articulate Storyline 360. I wrote scripts for the simulation scenarios and worked with the techniqual developers to create a 3D simulation environment. This multi-platform approach allowed me to create varied learning experiences that maintained engagement throughout the training.
